At this point our “mighty” Sun is practically invisible. Think about your dreams. Fears. Successes. Failures. They’re not likely to register a blip. But shouldn’t this realization also free us?  God created everything we see and everything we don’t see. God also knows—and loves—each one of us. Our lives and decisions matter deeply—just not in the way we normally think.

Visually, I drew inspiration from The Story of Keep Calm and Carry On, an elegant and simple video. I thought I could realistically pull it off with my basic setup. Can you spot the similarities? I made production mistakes too, of course. Some clips suffered from lack of light, causing noise in the darks. This problem was especially evident in the second video. But it was a great learning experience.

This is my new desktop wallpaper, an illustration by Chris Koelle. Koelle and team just finished a full length-animated film based on a poem by preacher John Piper. I backed the project on Kickstarter and will be receiving the DVD soon. Viewing party anyone? Watch the trailer.
