The Misconception
It might seem to some that Jesus didn’t have a plan for his life. Some people may assume that Jesus was merely an ultra-intelligent man who said peculiar things and who could predict the future. These eccentricities propelled him to fame and consequently caused an explosion of people through the ages to call him a divine being. The Way (or Christianity) happened through a big fat stroke of luck. By chance. Jesus had absolutely no idea that the Church would be born and that the whole world would be changed.
The Truth
Jesus knew his mission. He lived his life with purpose. Not one of his footsteps was in vain. Every word that came forth from his lips was designed to give life. He wasted none of his energy because he knew he didn’t have much time. Every second of his short earthly ministry, he was building the foundation of the Church, His Bride. The calling of the disciples, the training of the disciples, the choosing of the Twelve, the miracles, the parables,…. they were all part of the grand design. The Master Plan of Evangelism.
Do not for a second think that Jesus was tapping his foot, waiting… simply waiting for the Cross. Those three years before his sacrificial death and glorious resurrection, He was showing us the way in which the world would be saved. Will you seek to understand his strategy?
