Yesterday was a scary day for travelers. On my way to Chicago, I saw about ten different vehicles sitting on the side of the road; they obviously lost control on the slick ice. I managed to escape unscathed, though I was delayed for about 4 hours. You see, I took shelter at a Subway/McDonalds for a couple of hours before trying to decide if it was safe to go on. My car was stuffed with belongings, plus it was my first time driving in wintry conditions. That wasn’t a good combination. Yet here am I, spared from hurt, ready to take on the new job.
I guess I lied; I didn’t emerge fully unscathed from the move. I miss someone …very dearly.
Megan and I celebrated Christmas early again. Won’t tell you the full extent of her ingenuity, but she did give me “Story” by Robert McKee. A must read, I’ve heard.
